Gillian has been singing from the age of three. Since her father is a jazz musician she grew up with musicians always around the house and listening to recordings of Ella, Billie, Count, and Duke.
She started singing with her Dad's group (Frank Palette and the Jazz Squad) three years ago for concerts and other gigs throughout the tri-state area. Gill is a clinical R.N. working in pediatric oncology at a Major New York Hospital and a jazz singer by night.
Gill sounds like a young Anita O'Day. The musicians in the group call her the female "Harry Connick Jr."
This album consists of songs which encapsulate romance. I'm sure one of our songs will touch you deeply in a way that you have felt once before, or will feel in the future. These songs tell stories that are interludes of the heart. Through them we have learned that we are bonded together by our hearts through song regardless of age.
Music and lyrics from this album are written by: Frank Palette and Shannon (Pat) Shor.
